A 2 day ADVENTURE to remember. The main group will be launching from the vicinity of Swanage Bay, our route takes us along the white cliffs, gulleys and rock gardens where we'll visit the caves dotted along the coastline. The rocky coastline here is dominated by a high cliff face and the paddling is great fun through small gaps with rolling swells and a lot of marine bird life.

The wonderful eroded chalk stacks and caves of 'Old Harry Rocks' offer beautiful views with a landing possible on an ebb tide and good conditions. 'Old Harry' is an archaic name for Satan & is generally used to describe the stack at the seaward end. In the nineteenth-century Harry had a wife, but he was widowed in 1896 when this accompanying stack collapsed into the sea.

We land on the sandy beach & walk up the short distance to the Bankes Arms Pub where you will meet the rest of the group for a meal & drinks. Alternatively, we spend time relaxing on the beach for the afternoon. The white sandy beaches of Studland Bay offer sunbathing, snorkelling & swimming.

The main group will paddle a mile further up the coast in the late afternoon, while the non paddlers will be able to walk the mile along the beautiful beach route to join us in our wild camp site amongst the sandy dunes off the estuary. Once camp is set, we can swim & relax & socialise around an open wood fire in the evening, enjoying the good company of friends.

The entire trip is registered with Portland Coastguard and guided by BCU qualified Guides and we complete our adventure around 3pm on the final day, usually a Sunday.
